Below are events specifically hosted by the Poor People’s Economic Human Rights Campaign (PPEHRC) or with PPEHRC organizers officially making an appearance. You can find many of the other DNC protest and solidarity events on the DNC Action Committee calendar. The DNC Action Committee is also distributing a People’s Guide to DNC resistance which will be online soon and distributed at all events, starting at the DNC Freedom School Saturday from 10-9, as well as People’s Convention. This calendar is a work-in-progress so please check back for details, updates, and more events!
10 am to 5 pm the People’s Convention at Arch Street Meeting House, 4th and Arch Street in Philadelphia from 10 am to 5 pm. “The People’s Convention is a grassroots attempt to reclaim our democracy by uniting behind a common policy framework, rather than a personality or party.” Cheri Honkala will be speaking in the West Room from 1:40-2:20 pm on the economic justice platform.
8 pm March for Our Lives benefit show at Sammy’s Place, 1449 North 5th Street. Performers include Mic Crenshaw, the Refuge Beats Poets Collective, Guest, Crown, the NJ Solidarity Singers, and more! There will also be a special guest appearance by Green Party presidential candidate Dr. Jill Stein. The cover is $10 or $5 with a can of beans! Don’t miss it!
3 pm March for Our Lives, South side of City Hall.
~5 pm Power to the People Rally, at the conclusion of the March for Our Lives, located at FDR Park in a tent at the cross-section of Broad and Pattison. Speakers and musicians will include 2016 Presidential candidate Dr. Jill Stein, Immortal Technique, Yahne Ndgdo, Rosa Clemente, Howie Hawkins, Medea Benjamin, Margaret Flowers, Chris Hedges, Marc Lamont Hill, German Parodi, Mic Crenshaw, Ernie Perez, Actor Mark Webber, and many more!
10 am Mighty Writers world record event with Philadelphia kids, writing on the topic “If I Were President,” on the steps of the Art Museum.

6pm: Beans for Hillary Fart-In at AT&T Station
